BEING CONNECTED!

Hare Krishna! Welcome to ISKCON Chowpatty (Sri Sri Radha Gopinath Temple) – one of the most frequented spiritual landmarks in South Mumbai. Due to the recent outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, we had to close our gates for our visitors in the interest of public health and safety. We deeply regret the inconvenience and disappointment caused to our devotees and visitors due to this temporary closure.

However, we are pleased to bring to you our renewed online platform with a variety of programs to keep you spiritually uplifted throughout the day – till the lockdown is over. And some tips to respond to the ongoing COVID-19 here.

These can be difficult times for all of us as we hear about spread of COVID-19 from all over the world, through television, social media, newspapers, family and friends and other sources. In such a situation, it is of utmost importance for us to utilise our head (by taking necessary precautions), our hearts (to connect & pray for the Supreme’s grace) and our hands (to support those in the fore-front) in an intelligent manner.

    BEING SAFE

Keep following social-distancing – it’s meant to prevent the spread of infection, to protect ourselves and others. Practice frequent hand washing. Wash hands with soap and water or use alcohol based hand rub. Wash hands even if they are visibly clean. Cover your nose and mouth with handkerchief/tissue while sneezing and coughing. See a doctor if you feel unwell (fever, difficult breathing and cough).

    BEING CONNECTED

The world is full of negativities at this hour. As practitioners of bhakti, we are now expected to display a high degree of positivity to the world around us. This can happen only when we are very strongly connected to the Supreme. Towards this end, join us for our daily online programs and the online Collective Japa Yajna, wherein we target to chant 1 crore holy names together.

    BEING GENEROUS

At this crucial hour, let’s once again salute those who are in the forefront of this battle against the pandemic. ISKCON Chowpatty also feels privileged in contributing substantially towards this end by cooking daily meals at the temple kitchen for over 800 BMC workers, policemen and Govt. doctors. We invite you to join us and help us with your generous contributions to keep up the endeavour.

    HOW CAN I HELP?

As the world faces a pandemic, emergency medical teams, municipal service teams, and people rendering essential services are going out of their way to care for the afflicted and cater to the needs to those inside their homes. ISKCON Chowpatty feels proud to reach out to such individuals. Currently, apart from meeting the internal needs of the temple, daily lunches are being cooked for over 800 municipal workers, policemen and government doctors on the field. We seek your support to continue on with this endeavour till need be.

In Gaurnaga lila, after Sarvabhauma Bhattacharya realized the true identity of Mahaprabhu as the supreme personality of godhead Brajendranandan Krishna himself, lord ...

    Birth of Lord Rama

Daśaratha, his desire fulfilled, dwelt happily in Ayodhya awaiting the birth of his sons.
