Radical Islamist are once again showcasing in Bangladesh that, “we bite the very hand that feeds us.”

It’s very pertinent to study the history — any radical, faith-centric religion utterly disregards humanity, gratitude and friendship. For them, blind adherence to their faith comes even at the cost of shattering all human decency.

The radical Islamists are shamelessly willing to befriend Pakistan—a nation responsible for the large-scale butchering of Muslim and Hindu Bengalis, mercilessly torching their own people simply because they are Hindus. How utterly inhuman, insensitive, and absurdly illogical is this act!

The Hindus in Bangladesh have always contributed significantly, including Hindu spiritual organizations. One of them is ISKCON. ISKCON is one of the most neutral organisations, more secular in its dealings with other religions, sometimes even overdoing it. Yet, the Bangladeshi government is on the verge of banning it.

It’s a valuable lesson for secular Hindus that radical religions will not spare you simply because you are secular. It is time for Hindus from all over the world to start cornering Bangladeshis — economic sanctions, social boycotts, and political pressure are the need of the hour, so that sensible Bangladeshis can stand against their own radical people and regain the trust of the world. Meanwhile, all political, social, and spiritual efforts may pressure Bangladesh to adopt a more sensible and realistic approach.
