Varnashrama deals with fulfilling needs. And modern life style focuses on fulfilling demands. When the focus is on demand then our need are chocked. For example our needs are to have good teachers, farmers, warriors who understand dharma. But the demand is to choose those profession which fetches more money . So this creates imbalance in society. Demand increases competition, fear, conflic, discord and fragmented society. When needs are not fulfilled it creates scarcity and valueless people.
